Dwelling Residency Project
Working on it: Dwelling a Collective Project.
“Working on It”, is a group of artists who were in residence at Artcite, (Windsor’s Artist run centre) two weeks in May 2018. We participated in “MayWorks Windsor Festival of Arts, Labour and Community”. Our focus during the residency was to work together on ideas and aspects on the concept of Dwelling and in a public setting.

Like many workers, artists work through process and with materials and our work processes are similar. In an attempt to demystify the artistic process we created work while collaborating and remaining open to the public. By engaging with each other in this way we experimented with alternative ways of working together. At the same time we shared our process with the community and invited interested parties to collaborate with us during the week long residency.
We were exploring the idea of Dwelling in it’s many aspects. Our group was made up of artists working in drawing, painting, installation, video and architecture.
