A Perspective
My interest in the studio is in the various geographic and topographic perspectives of the story of land and water as they interact with our human lives, particularly in the in the Great Lakes Basin, the Arctic and the Northern Hemisphere. Many narratives coexist on the same section of water and land, layering story and time in constant flux. My recent work is an inquiry into the historical traces and present activities permanently changing the land and water. Alongside degradation and loss exists rejuvenation and reclamation; an ongoing paradox.
